5 Examples of the Principles and Elements of Art
Description:
This project entailed taking pictures of the 12 elements and principles of art. The following are my five favorite elements and principles pictures.
Expansion:
An idea to expand on this activity is to mix all the student's individual photos up and have students guess what the picture is and what element or principle it shows.
This stepping stones depict Movement.
The stones move your eyes toward
the direct they are going.
The leaf shows Line.
If you look closely,
you can see many lines within the leaf.
The pool liner is a great example of Pattern.
The liner consists of random repetitions to create the design.
The display is an example of Balance (asymmetrical).
Both sides of the displays are different but balanced.
This scenic view of a golf course depicts Space.
You can see depth, height, and width in this photo.
