Stained Glass Craft

 

Description:

For this project we created our own stained glass look alike by choosing a main subject (I choose a fish) and then drawing a geometric design behind the main subject. Once we were done drawing our subject and background design, we colored the subject and the background using cool and warm colors.

Extension:

An extension for this project would be to go on a scavenger hunt either during class as a field trip, if time and location allows, or have students go on weekends to look for and take pictures of as many stained glass artworks they can find. Stained glass artworks are in more places than one, so finding at least one artwork should not be too difficult. Students can then share their discoveries in class.
